The second quote does not give enough detail of why that student voted for barack. I do like the thrid quote because it allows you to go in different directions such as
1. If the college population voted for him because of race?
2. The perspective that college students have about Barack being both black and white.

Did you ask any questions like what they want changed? or what changes they think Obama is going to make? or How they felt about what Joe the Plumber said?

I think quotes like that might have helped.
